Paul and Mary's Raceway Camping, LLC

 2012 NASCAR RV CAMPING SEASON

Hello Race Fans from Paul and Mary’s Raceway Camping!

We have some exciting news!!! We are offering NEW LOWER pricing and reduced pricing for shorter stays. Paul and I feel we have come up with the answer to those who have kids in school during the September races and cannot justify purchasing the whole package and ongoing concerns with the economy. Just fill out the reservation form and check all the appropriate boxes. Your invoice will be then calculated according to what is the lowest price based on the answers you give regarding your needs and length of stay.

We are still planning on offering all that we have offered before such as our timely shuttles, Bloody-Mary Bar contest, live band, shower semi, community bon-fire pits, onsite security and the fun and friendly hospitality we have offered for over 10 years by the Chicagoland Speedway.

Last year we brought back recycling with the Manhattan Junior High Green Team and it was a huge success. The kids collected about $85 in cans while having a blast with their science teacher Mrs. Senka. The money was used to help with other Green projects and a field trip to the zoo. They will be back.

As of yet we have not nailed down who the live band will be playing on Saturday night. Paul and I will be stepping out in January to do some band shopping and comparisons or bring Libedo Funk Circus back again. Watch our website and or Facebook page for announcements regarding the band.

There will be a slight change regarding septic pump out tickets. If you book for a full stay, a free septic pump-out ticket will be included in your welcome packet sent to you in September. For people with shorter stays, the septic pump-out tickets are optional and can be purchased in advance for $20 with your site reservation (this is cheaper than paying the septic company direct). These tickets will also be included in your welcome packet. We are doing this to help cut waste and cost. Many people were getting them who didn’t need them even though the cost was built into the price of their site. This way, you choose what you need and what you want to pay for.

The 2011 NASCAR race was our very first experience with a “rainout”. Overall, I think it went pretty well although at times we felt like we were flying by the seats of our pants. We did discover we are the ONLY campground who continues to offer shuttle service on Monday should the race have a rain delay! We think that was pretty cool and hope it was appreciated by the many who stayed for the Monday event.

Paul and I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the many, many people who sent their thoughts and prayers to us during Paul’s battle with colon cancer in 2011. His last chemo session was January 13, 2012 and if all goes as expected, Paul will be cancer free! We are looking forward to putting this chapter in our lives behind us and moving forward.

For the JULY Race, just call us to reserve. Premium sites are $120 for two nights includes 110 plug-in. (Limited number of these sites available). $30 additional per night beyond the two night stay.

For non electric sites in July $50 a night for RV’s and pop-ups and $30 per night per tent.

Please call and reserve your site in advance for July, cash on arrival is welcome for the July event.

Sites for the September race however must be pre-paid.

Thank you again for patronizing Paul and Mary’s Raceway Camping in the past and we hope to hear from you regarding the 2012 race events by the Chicagoland Speedway.

Sincerely,

Paul and Mary Bernhard
